Who I Am

The Story of a Content Optimizer

From Digital Librarian to Digital Content Specialist

My journey into digital content began not in marketing, but in the library. As a digital librarian, my mission was simple: connect students to the information they need by making it accessible and understandable. I spent time cultivating resources, developing educational content, and leading outreach initiatives; learning the skills of content strategy, information architecture and how to engage a specific audience.

Building a Library of Content that Converts

I discovered that the principles of successful library outreach – meticulous organization and user-centric design are the same principles that drive high-performing digital marketing.

Today, as a digital content specialist, I apply this unique foundation to the web. I don’t just publish content, I engineer the page experience. My expertise lies in the critical final mile of the content process:

  • Conversion: Designing and optimizing web page layouts to ensure the user’s eye lands exactly where the business needs it; the Call-to-Action (CTA).
  • Performance: Ensuring the visual hierarchy, content flow, and technical details and publishing are flawless to maximize engagement and SEO potential.
  • Strategy: Translating high-level marketing goals into concrete, optimized digital products.

Connecting Content to the Bottom Line

Whether it was successfully writing a persuasive, well-structured $5,000 grant proposal to expand educational resources, or now, optimizing a landing page for lead generation, my goal remains the same: to ensure content doesn’t just inform, but achieves its intended purpose.
